Unlike other marketing and self-promotion experts who focus primarily on the external marketing stuff, I focus on bringing the inner self and outer marketing activities into complete harmony. Doing so builds your confidence and your client list with the right types of people. When you just do your thing and bravely share it with the world, you naturally attract more of the right clients to your business.

I believe that the most important activity any of us can learn in life and business is how to sing our own songs, share the message and work that is uniquely our own and help others who are just a few steps behind us move forward with greater clarity and conviction.

I've come to realize that I have very clear beliefs. It's taken me a while and they continue to evolve. That's half the fun! They guide me and create a unique experience for my clients.

Sing your own song! Too often, we hold ourselves back by unconsciously singing someone else's song. When you sing your own song you are living in flow, living authentically, sharing your message of hope and healing with the world. Your attractiveness goes up dramatically. This is not about being a braggart or blowhard, it's about putting your true self out there in the world with courage and commitment.

Keep learning, growing and sharing what you know. I am never satisfied with the status quo. I learn from the best and share what I've learned with my clients. Thinking back I used to do the same thing as a youth making mixed tapes for my friends. I would hunt down the coolest musicians and songs and share them. Now I apply the same principles by sharing insights into the psychology of humans, marketing, branding and much more.

Make sense and you'll make more cents. If people don't understand you they won't choose you or your services. When things are out of alignment, when they don't make sense it creates confusion which turns people off. When there are logic breaks it makes my mind go crazy until I can find and fix the bits that are out of sync. I've spent much of my life trying to make sense out of myself and others.

Associate with high integrity, intelligent, big hearted people. The clients I attract are ultimately a reflection of me. I want to be part of a community of professionals who are warm, intelligent, change agents and thought leaders who collaborate and hold me accountable so that I walk my own talk.

Be prepared. "What's the plan?" is a sentiment that I often can be heard asking. It must be the Boy Scout training in my youth that reinforced the value of preparation. Asking questions and planning with the end in mind helps build confidence and increases the odds of success.
